SLAM’s publisher and I—with the backing of the rest of our staff—have been wanting to do an issue like this (flip covers, 100 pages, with each guy getting 50, and a dope pullout poster in the middle to separate them) for a good 18 months now. But it took time to gather up the stories, build up the photo archives, and get Nike on board with some ad support. We finally got all the key commitments around late March and slotted this in to drop during the Conference Finals. Well, here we are. Trust me: if you like one or both of these players, and/or just want a keepsake of NBA basketball in 2010, you need this magazine. Look for it on newsstands everywhere next week.

This game will be playing on NBA TV as one of the classic basketball games ever. Lebron finished the game with 43 points, 15 assists & 13 rebounds. Lots of people are telling me the Cavs will win the champioship with the wonderful trade we pulled off. On the flip side, some say he will be like Karl Malone & and will NEVER win a championship. With that said, take a look at this clip and I’ll get back at you in June! OUT!

With the All-Star weekend starting this friday, King  James & Drake will be involve in judging the winner in this year amateur Slam Dunk contest. The event takes place this Friday at 9:00 p.m. and will also feature a performance by Drizzy. I’m still mad at Lebron for not being in the “actual” Slam Dunk Contest. **shrugs**
