Last night, RnB crooner Erykah Badu was live but under a different alias: DJ Lo Down Loretta Brown. This was not her first time on the 1s & 2s. She took over Ritual Nightclub for a 2 hours dj set. The hazel eyed beauty played different cuts from Lil’ Wayne all the way to Stevie Wonder. Her music selection was on point. She closed out her set by playing fan favorites “Twinkle” & “The Healer” At the end, the crowd let’s her know she did a good job by giving her a massive standing ovation.

This weekend was just about one thing: Erykah Badu’s “Window Seat” video (which as 30 000 views on my twitvid) With all the talk about how controversial the flick is, she decided to speak on it via twitter. This is what she had to say:

The video premiered this morning at 3:33am on her site. I was still up for some reason & decided to pull a Yardie Move and ripped the video. I love the video because Badu always brings something different to the table & she MOST DEFINITELY did so in this video. Her album, New Amerykah part 2: Return Of The Ankh drops this tuesday. Make sure you get a copy! Album is HEAAAAAVIOS!!!
